This Library will benefit many children, but especially those living in the Orphanage outside of Surabaya. Aunah and I have to pay our own way so we can be a part of opening the Library. Please be a part of our goal as you reach out your hands to bless the orphans of Indonesia. It will help us give them a hand up, not just a hand out! See 5StarLegacyFoundation.org for more info.

Middle-Aged Momma

I had a produce worker at Sprouts the other day who repeatedly called me Miss. I wonder why he thinks I'm a Miss when I have four children in tow... I'm Really a Middle-Aged Momma, not a Little Girl.

A Little Bit Means A Lot

Reading this book... well honestly listening to the audio of this book... has brought huge insight to my life. For a little sneak preview, check out one of my speeches on the subject.

We can really save the world as we help people use this knowledge to their advantage, instead of disadvantage.

Here is a diagram for another quick reference:

Finale Playlist

I LOVE working out! But when it's without music, working out is just a chore.  Some have requested I share some of the music I play in the Cardiomix class I was teaching.

 Here is the latest:
Titanium by David Guetta & Sia
I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe
1.000 Ships by Rachel Platten
DotA (Radio Edit) by Basshunter
Courageous by Casting Crowns
Don't Leave Me by Regina Spektor
Boom Shakata by Mondo (Step PowerMix)
Glad You Came by The Wanted
Honey, Let Me Sing You a Song by Matt Hires
The Middle by Jimmy Eat World
More Beautiful You by Jonny Diaz
Be OK by Ingrid Michaelson
Welcome to the Club by Manian
Replay by Iyaz
Tonight Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae
Get Ready for This (Calimocho Mix) Power Music Workout
Sweetly Broken by Jeremy Riddle
Soar by Jay Blahnik (Power Mix 4)

I call this playlist "The Finale" because yesterday was my last day teaching the Cardio Mix group exercise class. I wanted more time for promoting ProArgi+, competing in speech contests, and finishing my book. So, on to other ways of "Saving the World"...

Fat Heart in a Skinny Body, or Skinny Heart in a Fat Body?

I am absolutely not a TV watcher. (For a lot of reasons, but that is a subject for another post). HOWEVER, I stumbled upon a TV show last night that touched me so much I was shocked!  It's Drop Dead Diva and follows a really skinny model stuck in a smart fat woman's body. I have only seen two episodes, but it impacted me so strongly I had to post on this blog to save the world.

1. I have sometimes felt I am a skinny woman caught in a fat body. I have felt like shouting to other people, this is not really me!!
2. I have sometimes felt like the skinny woman judged by others not to be old enough or smart enough to be taken seriously. I want to shout, I'm a smart, experienced 36 year old!
3. Some women think they are fat, even when they are too skinny to be healthy.

I want to help people have healthier body images. I have two good friends that can help:

She is a fitness queen, but I never hear her talk about clothing sizes or weight or anything.

She only talks about being healthy and strong. I think that should always be your goal. Who cares about what the scale says? What is important is if I can run with the kids to the bus stop with ease. Jessica has inspired me to do more than I ever thought I could athletically, but now I'm even stronger mentally.

This lady has found peace and health in her life, in part by the way she eats.

Linda holds fun and educational luncheons that are DELICIOUS! I am so glad for all that I have learned about being aware of what I put in my body and on my body. When I think of treating my body right by the way I eat, I think of Linda.

For the women who are skinny at heart and stuck in a fat body, or who think they are fat at heart, but have a skinny body, I hope these resources will help you love your body--no matter what! For me, that is what health and fitness should be a product of: loving your body and taking care of it well!
